Reminder: Tag Purchases and Check Off

Please be aware that as of January 1, 2012 a Premise Identification Number will need to be presented to the Wool Growers at the time of purchase of CSIP tags.

Producers will not be eligible to receive tags until this number is provided.

This is necessary to bring the Manitoba sheep industry into compliance with the mandatory Premise ID Program. If you do not yet have a Premise ID number, please contact your local GO Office.

Please also be aware that beginning 2012, all post mortems submitted to the Provinical Vet Lab will require a Premise Id Number.

Refund Policy for Voluntary Check-Off

The Manitoba Sheep Association would like to remind you of MSA check-off policy.

Under Provincial Legislation:

Refund applications for the period of July 1 to December 31 must be received by February 1 of the following year.

Refund applications for the period January 1 to June 30 must be received by August 1 of the same year.

Applications outside these guidelines will not be refunded. To request an application, please contact Lucien Lesage, MSA Chair.To obtain forms to receive a check-off refund contact:
